Dead Island 2 is celebrating its long-awaited launch with its very first set of Twitch Drops that let you get your hands on an exclusive in-game item which helps you in your efforts to cull the number of infected roaming across Los Angeles.
Dead Island 2’s Twitch Drops work in a similar manner to those of other games. You basically need to spend some time watching streamers slaughtering zombies, after which you can redeem your rewards in-game. Below, we’ll talk you through the whole process.
Dead Island 2 Twitch Drops
Dead Island 2’s first Twitch Drops campaign starts on April 21 and runs through May 17. During this period, watching any stream of the zombie game for 20 minutes gets you the exclusive Fenrir’s Howl Shotgun, which you can then use to blast away infected.

Before watching the livestreams, you need to ensure that your PROS (Prism Ray Online Services) and Twitch accounts are linked.
After you’ve created both, head to your Twitch profile’s settings menu. Click on Connections, scroll down to Other Connections, and click the Connect button next to the Prism Ray Online Services entry.
This should link the two up, making you eligible to earn Dead Island 2 Twitch Drops. You’re then good to watch 20 minutes of any stream, after which you should receive a notification that you’ve earned the Fenrir’s Howl Shotgun reward.
You may need to first claim it from your Twitch inventory, after which you can start the game, and redeem the weapon from Dougie inside the Serling Hotel.
Three weeks is more than enough to get your hands on Dead Island 2’s first Twitch Drops reward. For more help with the game, check out our articles on its map size, whether or not it uses Denuvo DRM, as well as our review.
