Team Ninja took to the EVO Japan stage today to make a series of announcements regarding both the pre and post-launch periods of its upcoming fighting game Dead Or Alive 6.
Dead or Alive 6 fans who are PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have access to a Deluxe Demo between February 22 and February 24. The Deluxe Demo promises a pretty sizeable serving of in-game content, giving access to all 24 characters available at launch alongside all their hairstyles and glasses.
Not only will players who jump into Dead Or Alive 6’s Deluxe Demo get introduced into the game’s Story mode, but they’ll also be able to play online Ranked and Lobby matches, alongside Free Training, Tutorial, Command Training and the Combo Challenge modes.
Team Ninja is also looking towards eSports with the announcement of the Dead or Alive World Championship. Qualifiers will be held in North America, Europe, and Asia. The top players in each region will then go on to compete in the Grand Finals, which will be held in Japan. The total prize money for the event will be equivalent to 10 Million Yen.
Lastly, the first details regarding Dead or Alive 6’s Season Pass 1 were made public. It will contain two characters from The King of Fighters XIV, one of which was confirmed to be Mai Shiranui. Both characters will be obtainable either through the Season Pass or individual purchase.
The Dead or Alive 6 Season Pass 1 will go live once the game launches, on March 1, and will also come with 62 new costumes, All its contents are scheduled to be made available in the period between March and June 2019.
