If you’re looking to get up to speed with Death Must Die’s list of updates for 2023 - 2024, this article has got you covered, tracking the roguelite RPG’s patch notes and change log following its launch in Steam early access.
Death Must Die’s list of updates for 2023 - 2024 is bound to grow as developer Realm Archive adds more of its planned features. The developer will likely react to the player feedback that will be inevitably shared by those already using godly powers to defeat Death itself.
Death Must Die Patch Notes
Death Must Die’s first patch dropped in early July 2023, before its official early access launch, allowing players using gamepads to drop items while running.
It was soon followed by another which removed the ability to sneak through the corners of the enclosing black flames.
Death Must Die’s third update was somewhat bigger, limiting FPS when playing without Vsync in an effort to avoid overheating players’ GPUs.
The title’s early access launch brought with it bigger change logs. Patch 0.6.13 added new Fates Blessings, a stash dedicated to lore items, and more.
In mid-November 2023, the next update increased boss resistances, tweaked Darkness, while removing one shot kills from the Necromancer and Vampire Lord.
A few days later, Death Must Die’s patch 0.6.45 went live, its change log revealing a number of additional bugfixes, balance changes for Blessings, alongside other tweaks.
Afterwards, the ability to perform infinite Reroll/Banish/Alter was removed, while Death Must Die’s update 0.6.48 brought additional changes, including a buff to passive experience gain.
On November 22, 2023, the game saw additional bugfixes alongside a quick hotfix to address an issue introduced by the latest patch.
Death Must Die’s patch 0.6.63 then went live on November 27, fixing a bug regarding out-of-place name labels, ensuring that the Shrine of Spring damage effects no longer break divine shield, and more.
Death Must Die’s patches have so far been exceptionally quick, but that’s likely thanks to their relatively reduced size. As development moves towards larger updates, we might have to wait more before reading new change logs.
