Ever since Death Stranding: Director’s Cut launched on PS5 last year, its PC release date has been on the minds of players looking forward play the game on the good old PC or didn’t yet manage to get their hands on Sony’s latest console. The definitive edition of one of 2020’s best games would go on to elude us for the remainder of 2021 but, as 2022 kicked off, we got some very good news.
Publisher 505 Games and developer Kojima Production announced during CES 2022 that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut now has a PC release date which, unless something comes up in the meantime, happens to be fairly close.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut’s PC release date is currently slated to occur on March 30, bringing with it a series of improvements to the base game. Intel’s new Xe Super Sampling graphics technology is at the top of the list. It uses machine learning to allow players to explore the game’s world “in high graphical detail along with elevated performance.”
Other features included in this edition are a high frame rate, photo mode, as well as ultra-wide monitor support. On top of that, players will also receive Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 crossover content, alongside a handful of other in-game goodies that are detailed on the game’s Steam page.

Just as with its counterpart PS5, owners of the base game can upgrade to the Director’s Cut for $9.99 or their regional equivalent. A new copy will set you back $39.99. The standard version of the game is currently discounted as part of the Steam Lunar Sale.
