Deep Rock Galactic’s post-launch support will continue for at least two more years and Season 6 is already confirmed to happen, making its start and end dates worth keeping track of.
Although the confirmation of DRG’s Season 6 is good news for seasoned and prospective dwarf miners, the pace of new content for the co-op shooter will slow down, due to developer Ghost Ship Games’ new project Rogue Core.
Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 Start and End Dates
Developer Ghost Ship Games has confirmed, when revealing its roadmap for the following two years, that Deep Rock Galactic’s Season 6 start date is only expected to occur at some point in 2025.- Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 start date: At some point in 2025
- Deep Rock Galactic Season 6 end date: 2026 or later (GameWatcher estimation)
That is also the full extent of details we currently have about DRG’s Season 6, which is understandable given how distant its launch is.
The longer wait is bound to disappoint some, but the team behind the game offered a reasonable explanation for why new content will now take longer to develop:
“In a perfect world, we’d continue full steam ahead on Deep Rock Galactic while developing Rogue Core at the same time. But we’ve only got so many helping hands on board, and only so many hours in the day,” it wrote in a Steam post.
“Instead of trying to do a little bit of work on each game every day, we’d rather block out bigger chunks of time where we give one project our full attention. This might not be the fastest path, but we think it’s what will allow us to give you the best games we can possibly make.”
More details about Deep Rock Galactic’s Season 6, its start and end dates, alongside its content will likely be shared as we near its actual launch.
