Having begun in late April, Season 1 is still running as of September 7 and it will keep going for at least a little while.
Over on the game’s forums, Community Manager PezRadar offered more details about where the team is at regarding Diablo II: Resurrected Season 2’s start and end dates.
He admitted that the team didn’t manage to stick to the four-month season length because “we kind of didn’t plan very well on our end,” but is “looking at mitigating this issue for future seasons in D2R.”
Although the post didn’t reveal Diablo II: Resurrected Season 2’s start and end dates, it did give us an idea of how things will go down when it eventually kicked off.

In January 2023, Community Manager PezRadar revealed that Blizzard is “expecting ladder reset for S3 to begin sometime in mid-February.” Season 2’s end date should likely occur prior to that.
The third season is now expected to go live on February 16, which also happens to be Season 2’s end date.
Aside from challenging players to level a fresh character, it also introduces six new Sundering Charms that can reduce the instances in which a monster is immune to certain damage types, encouraging build diversity.
