Diablo 2: Resurrected’s post-launch journey shows no signs of stopping in 2023, Season 4 bringing with it a new opportunity to level fresh characters and grind for shiny gear. If you plan on making the most out of the limited time during which it’s available, you’ll want to keep track of its start and end dates.
Guessing Diablo 2: Resurrected’s Season 4 start and end dates is rather tricky before Blizzard shares official details about them. The developer’s initial plans were to keep each season running for about four months.

Although that didn’t work out as intended the very first time around, it still allowed us to take a shot at estimating when Diablo II: Resurrected’s start and end dates might occur.
The game’s third season kicked off in mid-February, which led us to initially estimating that Season 4 might start at some point in June 2023, ending in October 2023.
Blizzard has since announced in a livestream that the new season will begin sooner, on May 4.

In a follow-up forum post, the developer confirmed that ranked ladder will reset with the start of the new season.
“Ladder will reset on May 4th with the start of the new season. Typically, ladder resets occur 15 minutes prior to the start of the new ladder,” Community Manager PezRadar wrote.
“New ladders have consistently started at 5pm pacific time globally and will continue that way for Season 4.”
Blizzard is “trying to build out some wiggle room for all Diablo games between D2/D3/D4 in terms of seasons so there isn’t overlap for players as many like to dive into varying games within the community.”
Season 4 will be accompanied by patch 2.7, detailed patch notes being expected on May 2, 2023, a few days prior to season 4’s start.
Community Manager PezRadar has, however, confirmed that there will be no PTR cycle and that the patch will be small.
