Diablo 2: Resurrected marches on in its post-launch journey with Season 5, which encourages us to level fresh characters and kill demons for awesome gear. If you plan on getting as much done as possible while it’s live, you’ll want to keep track of its start and end dates.
Guessing Diablo 2: Resurrected’s Season 5 start and end dates is rather tricky before Blizzard shares official details about them. The developer’s initial plans were to keep each season running for about four months, but that hasn’t proven to be the case for all of them so far.
Diablo 2: Resurrected Season 5 Start and End Dates
Assuming things will get back on track after Diablo IV launches, we can try to estimate when Diablo II: Resurrected’s Season 5 start and end dates might occur.
The game’s fourth season went live at the start of May 2023, which made us believe that Season 5’s start date would occur at some point in September.
Our estimation was accurate, as Blizzard later confirmed that Diablo II: Resurrected’s Season 5 had locked down its start date to September 28, 2023.
We currently expect it to end in December 2023 or January 2024.
- Diablo II: Resurrected Season 5 start date: September 28, 2023
- Diablo II: Resurrected Season 5 end date: February/March 2024 (GameWatcher estimation)
There doesn’t seem to be an accompanying major patch that ushers in changes this time around, so we’re solely looking at another opportunity to level up a new character.
In January 2024, Community Lead Adam Fletcher confirmed that more news about the next ladder reset, and D2R’s Season 5 end date, is coming in February 2024.
That is what we know so far about Diablo II: Resurrected’s Season 5 start and end dates. For more on the series, here is when Diablo IV’s Season 2 kicks off.
