Divinity: Fallen Heroes sees players returning to Rivellon aboard the Lady Vengeance, to stop the Bloodless threat. They’ll do so alongside a number of familiar faces, such as Malady, Fane, Ifan, Lohse, Sebille, Red Emperor and Beast, while also being joined by new heroes.
Not only will Divinity: Fallen Heroes take players to new parts of Rivellon, it will also include a revised combat system alongside over 60 handcrafted missions. Players can tackle them with a combination of over 30 unit types.
Divinity: Fallen Heroes will continue to emphasize the importance of your choices. Diplomacy plays an important role in managing your crew and keeping your companions fighitng for the cause. Combining elements, a source for both amusement and frustration in Divinity: Original Sin and its sequel, will also play a role in combat. Few things feel as good as planning to drape just the right amount of floor in burning poison only to realize, once you do it, that half your party is also sitting in it, after all.
Units will finally be able to use guns and rifles, in Divinity: Fallen Heroes, while its missions can be tackled either on your own or in co-op which allows two players to take on the Bloodless in battles featuring simultaneous turns. The title is scheduled to launch later this year “on multiple platforms”. An early version will be playable at PAX East in Boston, on March 28.
