In For the King 2, you and up to three friends can team up to battle enemies along the way to bring an end to a tyrannical queen. With a variety of classes to choose from as well as a procedurally generated map, you can be sure no experience will feel the exact same, especially when playing with others.
As with any other strategy game, surely playing with friends who have your back would be a great help when you’re out venturing the dangerous and mysterious biomes. However, is it possible to play For the King 2 with friends on a different platform? Here’s everything you need to know about For the King 2 crossplay support.
For the King 2 Crossplay Support
As of now, For the King 2 doesn’t feature crossplay. While this may sound disappointing to some players, you can still enjoy multiplayer sessions with your friends via online connection and local co-op with a controller. Other than that, there’s hope that crossplay may eventually make it to the game, considering the first For the King game features crossplay.
From the game’s roadmap, it’s revealed that the game will be receiving quality-of-life updates spanning from December until early 2024. The developer also promises to expand the world and bring new game modes for solo and multiplayer. So, it may not be impossible for crossplay to be added somewhere in the way, although this should be taken as a grain of salt.
In case you didn’t know, the first game received crossplay support for Steam and Epic three years after its release on PC. This could be the case for its sequel, but only time will tell. For now, it’s best to keep your eyes peeled for further updates from IronOak Games.
