Dying Light 2 throws countless shambling infected and human enemies your way, making your treks through Villedor often risky. On top of that, you also need to find resources, craft stuff, keep an eye on your infection level, and track down Aiden’s sister. If you find yourself wishing there were console commands and cheats to turn to, we can’t blame you.
Although Dying Light 2 doesn’t have any console commands, you can use cheats if you’re willing to tinker a bit with the game’s files. Like many modern games, there are not codes you can manually input to turn Aiden into a god, but the Developer Menu mod does give you access to a fair few powers you don’t have by default.
Dying Light 2 Cheats
Installing it is as simple as extracting files in the game’s main folder but, before you do so, it would be a good idea to backup both the files you’re about to replace and your saves. You can find the latter in the following folder: X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\user ID\534380\remote\out\save.
Once you’ve installed the mod, load up your game and press escape. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the developer menu list which lets you access a number of different Dying Light 2 cheats. Below, you’ll find some of them that caught our eye:
Dying Light 2 cheats
- Cheat
- God Mode - Enables God Mode
- Unlimited Ammo - Grants unlimited ammo
- DamageCheat - Pick between standard damage, one hit kills, and minimal damage
- Free Camera - Enables free camera, letting you move around the world
- Force Weather - Pick weather type
- Force Weather Time - Pick game time
- Player
- All skills - Grants all skills
- Restore Health - Heals you up
- Drop Health - Drops health to minimum amount
- Give 1000$ - Grants 100 old world money
- Use TPP Vis - Switches to third-person camera
There are other Dying Light 2 cheats to tinker with in the Developer Menu mod’s multiple menus, however, it’s worth noting that patches can break the mod and not all of the options might work.
A separate mod that shares similar energy, and which you’ll also find linked above, grants unlimited weapon durability, helping you get rid of the need to constantly switch weapons when you can no longer repair them.
