Dying Light 2 places a lot of emphasis on melee combat but, although you will have to rely on it for the first chunk of the game, you do eventually get access to a couple of ranged weapons. Initially, it’ll be just bows that provide a nice change of pace. However, if you really fancy fighting from afar, you’ll want to know more about the game’s famed crossbow weapon location.
Finding Dying Light 2’s crossbow weapon location is tricky early on for a number of good reasons. On the one hand, there’s no physical spot where you’ll find it – as far as we know – while, on the other, it won’t be available until you progress through a good chunk of the main story.
You’ll actually need to reach the point where you can assign different districts on the map to either the Peacekeepers or the Survivors. Each has compelling benefits, the former making combat easier while the latter focuses on traversal.
If you want to get Dying Light 2’s crossbow, you’ll want to support team blue, at least for a while. The ranged weapon is the fourth Peacekeeper reward, so that means you’ll need to hand over four facilities to them in order to obtain it. Once you do so, it’s yours to keep and can switch paths if you so choose.
As mentioned above, you don’t need to go to any specific location to pick up Dying Light 2’s crossbow. It will be added to your inventory alongside blueprints for the different types of bolts you’ll need to craft if you actually plan on using it. Better yet, you also won’t have to worry about repairing it, as its durability doesn’t decrease with use.
That’s what you need to know about Dying Light 2’s crossbow weapon location. For more help with the game, here are some handy cheats and a guide on tracking down inhibitors.
