Dying Light 2’s launch has proven quite successful, going by its Steam numbers and, as many players parkour their way across Villedor, developer Techland has been actively tracking reported issues and already pushed out a number of fixes. Patch 1.0.4’s release date is now on the minds of players, as it could very well be when more of the game’s bugs get squished.
Techland has given players a sense of the areas Dying Light 2’s upcoming updates will target and patch 1.0.4’s release date could bring with it a handful of much-awaited fixes.
Dying Light 2 Patch Notes
As shared on Twitter, fixes for crashes, black screens, players being unable to sell items to vendors, and AI dead body replication are ready to be implemented, alongside a set of DLSS and ray tracing performance improvements.
Whether or not these would go live when Dying Light 2’s patch 1.0.4 release date comes around was initially uncertain, but Techland confirmed it when it pushed the patch to live servers.
Update:
Techland has just released Dying Light Patch 1.0.4 on February 7. Here’s the patch notes:
- fixed various game crashing bugs
- fixed AI dead body replication in co-op
- added DLSS improvements
- fixed issue when players couldn't sell valuables to vendor
- fixed artifacts being sometimes visible on some AMD cards
- fixed mouse key binding options (meaning: you should be allowed to rebind your mouse buttons, we are still working on an additional implementation for extra mouse buttons)
Further down the line, Techland also plans on addressing issues with story blocks, adding backup saves, as well as giving players more video settings to tinker with as they search for just the right balance between visual quality and performance.
