There's a lot more in store for Earthfall than has been present for the game's release. Holospark, the developers behind this Left 4 Dead-alike, are very keen to enhance their release with more content, and have announced their plans for the first three months of the game's post-launch period.
These additions include but are not limited to new game modes, new progression mechanics, new levels and more, and though there have been not too many details offered on the exact nature of these additions, we did get a general idea.
Starting from the obvious, we've got a proper progression system which Earthfall will be getting come October. By playing the game, players will have the chance to level up all the way to level 50, earning experience points to unlock additional weapons, items, outfits, and abilities.
Included with the same update will also be the game's take on Horde mode, and the developers promise this to be a challenge that's not quite like we've seen from Earthfall so far. You know how it works - players have to defend an area against an onslaught of enemies. We'll see if there's a twist or two.
There's stuff planned for release before October too, mind. This will be coming in August and September and will include new levels, enemies, weapons, and skins. Specifically singled out is the 'Inferno' level, packed with some vicious new alien mobs. If devs can keep this up, they just might have a winner here.
