The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor has pushed back its release date by one week and will now hit PCs on May 26th, while consoles have to wait until June 9th.
This date is locked, but ZeniMax Online Studio’s Game Director Matt Firor points out that “this of course could change if something happens outside of our control. Remember, we haven’t launched a major ESO update while working remotely before, and unforeseen problems can and do crop up.” So keep your fingers crossed and wish them well.
Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Release Date
The Elder Scrolls Online has seen a massive boost in numbers in the last month, coming close to their all time peak, and the highest its been since 2015. To cope with this, they’ve added more capacity on their EU server.
Matt Firor has talked about their investigation into the delayed input problem but it doesn’t seem as if they have a solution yet. That said, they appear to be working hard on both client and server optimisations, some of which are expected with Update 26.
