Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG has made its way out of Steam Early Access, letting players use diplomacy, guns, and psionics as they make their way across the wasteland and laboratories that surround its mysterious Dome. If your first run through Prime Matter and Dark Crystal Games cRPG is proving a bit of a challenge, you may find its console commands and cheats rather handy.
Encased’s console commands and cheats require some tinkering to be activated in the full version but, thankfully, the whole process is rather easy. Start by finding the game in your Steam library, right-clicking on it, then selecting Properties.
Look at the bottom of the General window that opens up for the Launch Options dialog box. In it, add “–console” without the quote marks. This activates the in-game consoles, letting you bring it up by using the tilde(`) key. If tilde doesn’t work, it’s worth employing some good old trial and error, as this can happen with different keyboard layouts.
Once that step is done, load a game, bring down the console and input the Encased console commands and cheats from the list below. Replace # with a number and remember that the commands are case sensitive.
- Cheats.ChangeRadiation (#) - Sets Radiation level
- Cheats.AddFatigue (#) - Increases Fatigue level by specified number
- Cheats.AddExp (#) - Adds specified number of experience points
- Cheats.UpgradeAllCharacterSkills () - Upgrades all skills; leave brackets empty but include them
- Cheats.DamageImmune () - Makes you immune to damage; leave brackets empty but include them
- Cheats.SpeedUpGame (2) - Increases game speed
- Cheats.SlowDownGame (2) - Decreases game speed
- Avatar.PrimaryAttributes.attributename=# - Sets points assigned to specified attributes to chosen number
- Avatar.SkillStats.Skillname=# - Sets points assigned to specified attributes to chosen number
This is not a comprehensive list of all available Encased console commands and cheats, but should help you if you’re having a hard time progressing or challenge you if things are a bit too easy. If you’ve discovered more that work, feel free to share them in the comments below so we can spread the word.
