Before you begin your journey as Flameborn and set off to reclaim your kingdom, you’ll have to spend some time in Enshrouded’s character creator, deciding which of the available customization options best suit your vision for your avatar.
In Enshrouded, the game’s third-person perspective elevates the importance of your Flameborn character’s appearance, as it consistently remains in or near the center of your screen throughout most of your playthrough. This article provides an in-depth look at the diverse customization options available in the game’s character creator, especially as Enshrouded steps into its early access phase.
Enshrouded Character Creator
Enshrouded’s character creation process begins with selecting one of 15 presets for your Flameborn’s appearance. Eight male and seven female presets are available as the game launches in early access.
This choice has the biggest impact on how your character looks since, at this point, you cannot edit individual features like height, facial structure, or skin color outside of selecting these presets.
Next up is the ability to pick your hairstyle from 27 potential choices. They range from bald to multiple short and medium-length hairstyles alongside two that let you rock long locks. After you choose your Flameborn’s hairstyle, you get to pick their hair color from a selection of eight colors. You then get to customize your beard.
The 14 available styles include clean shaves, mutton chops, and full beards. Moreover, they can be applied to any of the available presets. The beard color category has the same eight choices as its hair counterpart.
Afterwards, Enshrouded’s character creator lets you decide which voice best suits your avatar from a total of 10 options – 5 female voices and 5 male voices which, again, can be assigned to any preset. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly you get to pick your character’s name.
There currently doesn’t seem to be a way to edit existing characters from the in-game menu. That being said, you can both delete existing characters and create new ones if you want to start with a different look.
The number of customization options available in Enshrouded’s character creator may grow as the game’s early access journey continues, but this is what you can expect if you’re heading in at launch.
