Enshrouded is shaping up to be one of January’s highligts if you count yourself among fans of survival games, and if you’re eagerly awaiting the start of your journey as Flameborn, chances are that you’re wondering what the game’s release time and price might be.
Having revealed details about Enshrouded’s world and gameplay over the past couple of months, developer Keen Games finds itself in the final stretch before the title’s early access launch. That marks the first time that players will get to roam across the entirety of Embervale and dive into the game’s full skill tree, following a limited demo that gave us a taste of what being a Flameborn is like.
Enshrouded Release Time and Price
At the time of writing, Steam notes that there are approximately 19 hours left until Enshrouded’s release time, which means that it is currently slated to occur on January 24, 2024, at around 6 AM PT/ 9 AM ET/2 PM GMT.
That should be when we’ll have the option to start downloading the game. If the button doesn’t work at the top of the hour, being patient generally does the trick, as small delays in rollout can sometimes occur.
As far as Enshrouded’s price goes, it hasn’t been officially revealed prior to launch, but developer Keen Games has addressed it via a post in the game’s official Discord server.
“Currently Keen Games is planning to announce the price of Enshrouded at the launch of the game itself, and we don’t have any plans on announcing it sooner than that (no matter how many times you ask 😉),” the developer noted.
“Not because we are trying to hide anything from you, or because our pricing model will be anything strange (it’s actually pretty standard). But simply because this is the marketing strategy our team decided would work best for an early access launch of our size.
“Here’s what I can tell you about the price: The game will be a single box price fee, and it will be competitively priced with other similar games and studios in this genre. It will not be priced like a ‘AAA’ title, and the game will not have any day one DLCs or microtranscations (sic!). Early access will also be cheaper than the eventual full 1.0 release price.”
Having now launched, we can confirm that Enshrouded’s price is set at $26.99/26,99€/£22.49 (or your regional equivalent), with the mention that this includes a 10% launch discount that ends on January 31, 2024.
