Figuring out how to get Shroud Wood in Enshrouded is one thing you’ll want to do fairly early on. Aside from being one of the materials required when crafting the glider, you’ll also want a steady supply if you want your base to have a darker aesthetic.
Although its location might not be immediately obvious, Shroud Wood is rather easy to get. Not only that, but you can do so fairly early into your Enshrouded playthrough.
How to Get Shroud Wood in Enshrouded
By the time you have to seek it out, you’ve likely chopped down a few regular trees. This means that you’ve already mastered half of the process behind getting Shroud Wood in Enshrouded.
The next step involves taking your trusty axe with you and venturing into the parts of the map that are covered in fog.
Felling trees inside this area yields the coveted material. Since you’ll find fog-covered parts of the map relatively close to the location of your first camp, having a steady supply simply involves going in, cutting as many trees as you need, and looting the pieces of shroud wood that drop on the ground.
If you’d rather not venture too far from camp, loot sources seem to respawn at regular intervals. Alternatively, simply leaving and rejoining the world seems to force them to respawn, at least during the early days of the game’s stint in early access.
Even if you’re only going in and out to retrieve a small amount of shrouded wood, it’s wise to take all the precautions you’d normally consider when venturing into the fog. Don’t skip on the rested buff and any useful bonuses from food, including stamina increases.
