Epic Games continues expanding its empire with their announcement of several third-party store partnerships. These partnerships allow the stores to link directly to an Epic account, letting them add games directly to the library.
Humble Bundle accepted a similar arrangement last year, and this same arrangement will now extend to Fanatical.com, Green Man Gaming, and Genba Digital, with more partners to come soon. “This partnership makes it easier for players to purchase games from third-party sites,” says Epic Games.
Epic Games Keyless Integration
A keyless purchase system is seen as a good step by developers and publishers, who can be confident that sales are coming from a legitimate source, and Epic Games will continue to receive no revenue from these sales.
“We’re thrilled to continue expanding our partnerships to allow for keyless purchases with third-parties,” said Steve Allison, General Manager of the Epic Games Store. “Continuing to find ways to support developers and offering them ways to reach a wider audience, all while receiving a fair share, is important to us.”
