F1 22 sees developer Codemasters delivering yet another excellent entry in its robust series of racing simulators, prompting fans to wonder whether or not crossplay might be a launch feature this year.
F1 22 cross-platform support is, naturally, of interest to players who’re interested in the title’s multiplayer side. The benefits of its inclusions are obvious, given how the game is a multi-platform release.
F1 22 Crossplay
Crossplay would enable players to compete against their peers regardless of having to worry about platform limitations.
The feature’s availability also usually translates to a bigger pool of players to choose from when matchmaking, which can prolong the lifespan of multiplayer modes.
Although F1 22 crossplay was intended to be available at launch, it ended up being postponed. Senior Creative Director Lee Mather clarified why, when talking to RacingGames.gg, explaining that the team working on it is based in Ukraine, the country which was invaded by Russia in late February 2022.

F1 22 cross-platform support is still planned to arrive at some point further down the line, likely as part of a free post-launch update.
