Fallout 76’s mutated wildlife can be a pain for new explorers but, sooner or later, you’ll have to seek out different types of beasts and insects to take them out. Whether you do it for quests, crafting, or just plain old revenge, the humble yet disgusting Fallout 76 Bloatfly will eventually make your list, which is when having a few of its spawn locations listed can prove quite handy.
The Bloatfly isn’t all that difficult to spot from afar once you’ve encountered it a few times during your time with Fallout 76. The name describes it quite well – a pre-war fly whose bloated shape comes as a result of mutations resulting from that whole nuclear holocaust thing.
Fallout 76 Bloatfly Location
Two fairly popular Bloatfly locations can be found in Fallout 76’s the Mire region, slightly northeast of Freddy Fear’s House of Scares. Several can spawn in a campground and a nearby unmarked cave, providing enough meat and glands for your needs.
If, however, the spawn gods aren’t on your side, another potential Bloatfly location is Southhampton Estate, also in the Mire. It’s relatively close to Freddy Fear’s House of Scares, too. Head southeast and you’ll reach it in no time.
If you’re exploring the Toxic Valley region, it’s also worth dropping by Kiddie Corner cabins and Graninger farm. Alternatively, the insects can also spawn at Sylvie & Sons logging camp in the Savage Divide region or during the Scorchbeast Droppings random encounter.
With Fallout 76 Bloatfly locations now covered, also drop by our guides on Thistle and Crossbow locations.
