If you’re spending time roaming across Fallout 76’s Appalachia, dropping by the town of Helvetia might be a good idea, provided you’re up to scoring some seasonal gear. That’s thanks to the Fasnacht Day 2021 Event that started yesterday, February 16. Below, you’ll find details about its end date, rewards, and masks.
A local tradition since the founding of the settlement, the Fasnacht Parade Event continues to symbolize the end of winter, even if the place is now inhabited by Protectrons, rather than actual people. Helping them also rewards you with a set of rewards, including loot and masks.
“First, the Master of Ceremonies will ask you to find and aid nearby Protectrons with party prep, like gathering meal ingredients, decorating, playing musical instruments, and more. Then, you’ll meet the bots at the center of town to join in the Fasnacht Parade,” Bethesda explains in a post.
“Defend the Protectrons until they reach the end of their route, and you’ll earn some loot. The more parade marchers that survive, the higher your chances to get rare rewards.”
Helping enough Protectrons frees them up to take part in the parade, although the ruckus will inevitably draw unwanted attention. Saving as many participants on your way to setting Old Man Winter’s effigy ablaze increases your chances to earn event-specific Fasnacht Masks. This year’s event adds three new masks for players to collect.

With their February 16 start date now behind us, players can participate in Fallout 76’s 2021 Fasnacht Parades at the top of every hour until its February 22 (12 PM ET/5 PM GMT) end date comes around.
