A new week means a new weapon to pursue in Fallout 76. This time around, the Mechanic’s Best Friend bolsters players’ melee weapon arsenal, provided they complete the necessary challenges to obtain it.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to get your hands on the Mechanic’s Best Friend weekly weapon in Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 Mechanic's Best Friend
The Mechanic’s Best Friend might just be the weekly weapon with the easiest set of challenges required to obtain it so far. As usual, you’re going to have to jump into Fallout 76’s Survival Mode in order to complete them and get yourself this legendary wrench.
There are four challenges in total that you need to complete, each one tasking you with killing a specific type of robot as follows: Assaultron, Protectron, Sentry Bot, Mr. Gutsy or Mr. Handy. Luckily, all of these can be found around the Whitespring Resort in the Forest region. As they can be killed in whichever way you deem fit, getting your hands on the Mechanic’s Best Friend won’t take all that long.
As far as stats go, the Mechanic’s Best Friend deals 30% more damage to robots, has 40% more power attack damage and grants +1 Strength.
