Fallout 76 Season 1 is almost upon us, bringing an overhaul of the game’s daily and weekly challenges while giving players a chance to earn new rewards as they adventure across Appalachia.
Season 1 offers an account-wide progression track filled with rewards that’s free to all players. Although it overhauls daily and weekly challenges, they remain the main way of earning S.C.O.R.E, which is how you’ll rank up through the Season’s 100 reward ranks.
Essentially, this means that you’ll be rewarded for performing tasks you’re likely already doing when you’re out exploring Appalachia. Two weeks into Fallout 76’s Season 1, players will also get the option of purchasing individual ranks for the cost of 150 Atoms.
Fallout 76 Season 1 Start and End Date
Fallout 76’s Season 1 has locked its start date to June 30 which is also the release date of Update 20. Each Season will last around 10 weeks.
This places the Fallout 76 Season 1 end date at some point in mid-September, as long as nothing changes in the meantime.
- Fallout 70 Season 1 Start Date - 30th June, 2020
- Fallout 70 Season 1 End Date - 8th September, 2020
Fallout 76 Season 1 Theme
Titled “The Legendary Run”, Fallout 76’s Season 1 theme takes inspiration from boardgames.
Framed as a race across the galaxy between the heroic Captain Cosmos and the evil Dr. Zorbo, your progress through the Season’s reward ranks will be depicted by pieces on a space-themed board.
Fallout 76 Season 1 Rewards
Season 1 will introduce 100 ranks’ worth of rewards that Fallout 76 players can pursue. These include cosmetic items, in-game currency, Perk Card packs, Atoms, and Repair Kits alongside a set of more special items.
Where Lunchboxes grant you and nearby players a 25% XP bonus alongside a random social buff, the Ammo Converter lets you exchange ammo you don’t need for ammo that you do actually need. Fireworks, Glow-in-the-dark wallpaper and white and black versions of the Captain Cosmos Power Armor also count among Season 1’s rewards.
Unlocking each rank should take you somewhere between one and two hours, with later ranks taking longer. Fallout 76’s Season 1 won’t feature any added bonuses for Fallout 1st owners, although that may change in the future.
