Far Cry New Dawn is out this week, just a year after Far Cry 5, and it's a fun entry in the series - but perhaps not as fun as the insane Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Ubisoft has referenced Blood Dragon in every Far Cry game since then, so is there a Far Cry New Dawn Blood Dragon Easter Egg?
You bet there is, and it's very much a sequel to Blood Dragon appearance in Far Cry 5 - much like the rest of New Dawn is a sequel to that game. So, here's how to find the very literal Blood Dragon eggs... and where to find Planet Guy Marvel!
Where is the Far Cry New Dawn Blood Dragon Easter Egg?
The Blood Dragon Easter egg is quite literally eggs - Blood Dragon eggs in fact, and they're located in Planet Guy Marvel. Guy Marvel, of course, is the B-movie director who showed up in Far Cry 5 directing the Blood Dragon 3 movie, which was the source of that game's Easter eggs - leading to an appearance by an actual Blood Dragon in the Dead Living Zombies DLC.
Guy Marvel's presumably dead, judging by his final note (below), but his legacy remains in the building christened Planet Guy Marvel. This is located far to the north of the map, just south of the New Eden compound. You can find its exact location below:
In all honesty... it's not that impressive, other than a few posters for his movies not much survived. However, in the corner of the room, dominating it, are two purple glowing objects - these are Blood Dragon eggs. But are they props from Blood Dragon 3, or are they real? They certainly seem impervious to damage, anyway.
Whether Blood Dragons are real in the Far Cry world is a contentious issue - while they seem fictional in the Far Cry 5 games, Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars featured actual remains of the creatures. So who knows?
It's also possible to unlock a Blood Dragon outfit for your character. We'll have a guide on how to get that soon...
