You may know Crate Entertainment for its apocalyptic fantasy RPG Grim Dawn, but now this US development team has turned its attention to the city builder genre with Farthest Frontier, blending serene city building with survival elements.
Farthest Frontier releases into early access next week on the 9th August, so you’ll probably be wondering what system requirements you’ll need in order to run it adequately.

Will you be needing to upgrade your system for Farthest Frontier’s release? Below you can grab a snapshot of all the options that are available in-game, which you can customise to your preference.
Farthest Frontier Widescreen support
Farthest Frontier does support widescreen, although we will note that we noticed a big drop in framerate during the mid-game stage, where you’ve built up a sizeable city. When we scrolled through the map viewing our city, we encountered FPS drops from 60 to 15, and it was only present on the 5120x1440 option, it didn’t happen on any other resolutions.
We can’t say until launch if others will encounter this problem, but we imagine it will be fixed with a patch upon release.
