FFXIV concludes 2022’s packed schedule with the return of the Moogle Treasure Trove event. Dubbed The Hunt for Creation this year, it brings Irregular Tomestones for players to earn and exchange for various rewards between its start and end dates.
Final Fantasy 14’s Moogle Treasure Trove event counts among the few that do not have a regular schedule.The Hunt for Creation is currently set to last until the launch of patch 6.3, the MMORPG’s next major update.

Final Fantasy 14’s Moogle Treasure Trove event 2022 has locked down its start date to December 12 at 12 AM PT/3 AM ET/8 AM GMT. As mentioned above, its end date coincides with the beginning of the patch 6.3 maintenance period, which we expect will happen at some point in early 2023.

The Hunt for Creation, like past FFXIV Moogle Treasure Trove events is fairly straightforward. You complete objectives that earn you the Irregular Tomestones currency, which you then spend to obtain new and returning rewards.
Although “objectives” might sound rather fancy, you need to simply complete Duties (dungeons) marked with a Moogle symbol in the Duty Finder.
You won’t get any Irregular Tomestones if you use adventurer squadrons or the Duty Support system. Similarly, only unrestricted parties can obtain them if Level Sync is turned on for a particular Duty.

- Dzemael darkhold
- Cutter's Cry

2 Irregular Tomestones of Creation
- Kugane Ohashi
- Battle in the Big Keep
- Battle on the Big Bridge
You can exchange obtained Tomestones at Itinerant Moogle NPCs found in Limsa Lominsa, Lower Decks (X:9.4 Y:11.6), New Gridania (X:12.4 Y:12.1), Ul’dah, Steps of Nald (X:9.6 Y:9.1).
