Completing FFXIV’s Rising Calm quest is required if you plan to earn The Rising Event 2021’s limited-time rewards. To pick it up, head to Ul’dah, at the Steps of Nald, and look for Kipih Jakkya near Sunsilk Tapestries.
After a short conversation, the next step of FFXIV’s Rising Calm quest sends you to The Quicksand, which you’ll find southeast of your current location. Speak to Momodi, then head to the Alchemists’ Guild. The quickest way is teleporting to the Aetherite Plaza, then using the Aetherite network to teleport to the Alchemists’ Guild.
Once you’re there, speak to Severian, the Guildmaster. He’s reticent to help, at first, but then directs you to Deitrich, nearby, who’ll help out with another lead on your hunt. Afterwards, it’s back to the Quicksand, which you can reach rather quickly by teleporting to the Adventurers’ Guild Aethernet Shard.
The next step of Final Fantasy 14’s Rising Calm quest sends you near to where it started, tasking you with talking to the Wandering Minstrel. After getting some more information, head back to The Quicksand and talk to Kipih Jakkya again. Then, head south and talk to the Wandering Minstrel near the Wellhead Lift.
Watch the cutscene, and that’s it for FFXIV’s Rising Calm quest. There’s no follow-up this time around, so you’ll get the two The Rising Event 2021 rewards added to your inventory right away. On top of that, you’ll also unlock the Jigsaw Puzzle minigame.
