FFXIV’s The Rising 2022 event returns this year with a new quest and reward that celebrates the ninth year since the MMO’s relaunch. Its start and end dates mark the period of time between which you can chase the new goodies, as you take a break from patch 6.2’s content.
FFXIV’s The Rising 2022 event is one of many available to the MMORPG’s players throughout the year, kicking off shortly after patch 6.2 makes its way to live servers.
Final Fantasy 14 The Rising 2022 Event
Final Fantasy 14’s The Rising 2022 event has locked down its start date to August 27 at 12 AM PT/3 AM ET/9 PM BST. Its end date is then slated to occur on September 12 at 7:59 AM PT/10:59 AM ET/3:59 PM BST, giving players a bit over two weeks to claim its new reward.

To participate in FFXIV’s The Rising event, you’ll first want to make sure that your character has reached level 15. You’ll then want to seek out the Wandering Minstrel, an NPC which can be found in Ul’dah.
Head to the Steps of Nald, at coordinates X:10.2, Y:9.4. Talking to the NPC lets you pick up the quest called “Newfound Journey,” which you’ll need to complete if you plan on obtaining this year’s reward.
Doing so rewards you the Clockwork Solus minion. While a bit leaner than other events, it’s a great way of growing your minion collection
In addition, items from previous years will be available at certain vendors, which is especially great if you’ve only recently started your journey through the MMORPG. You can check out the minion over on the event’s special website.
