Publisher and developer Square Enix has revealed that FFXIV’s Callback Campaign is ready to return in 2022, while sharing details about its start and end dates as well as the rewards available to both inviters and invitees.
Final Fantasy 14’s Callback Campaign 2022 works in a similar fashion to iterations from previous years. Subscribed players can pick offline players from their in-game friends or free company member list, then select the Invite Friend to Return option.
FFXIV Callback Campaign 2022
This will send the person in question an email, allowing them to return to the game for a limited time without having to pay the monthly subscription fee.
Being eligible to receive an invite involves a few criteria. On the one hand, it has to be sent in between FFXIV Callback Campaign 2022’s start and end dates, which we’ll cover below.
The invitee must have purchased and registered a copy of Final Fantasy 14 to their service account and been inactive for at least 90 days.
The Final Fantasy Callback Campaign 2022 has locked down its start date to September 7 at 1 AM PDT/9 AM BST. Its end date is slated to occur on September 30, 2022 at at 1 AM PDT/9 AM BST.

As far as rewards go, players who invite others receive 5 Gold Chocobo Feathers, which they can exchange at Calamity Salvager NPCs across Eorzea for the following items:
- Twintania Neurolink Key (Twintania mount) - 15 Gold Chocobo Feathers
- Amber Draught Chocobo Whistle (Amber Draught Chocobo mount) - 8 Gold Chocobo Feathers
- Managarm Horn (Managarm mount - 8 Gold Chocobo Feathers
- Rare Dye x5 - 1 Gold Chocobo Feather
- Aetheryte Ticket x10 - 1 Gold Chocobo Feather
Invited players get 14 days’ worth of free game time, 99 Aetheryte Tickets – which remove the Gil cost when teleporting – as well as 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers.
Like their golden counterparts, they can be exchanged at Calamity Salvager NPCs for an assortment of gear suited for different character levels. Here’s where you can find the NPCs’ locations:
- Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks (X:11.3, Y:14.3)
- Old Gridania (X:10.4, Y:8.4)
- Ul'dah, Steps of Thal (X:12.6, Y:13.1)
