Final Fantasy 7 Remake launches on PS4 in two months’ time and recent datamining suggests that we might see a PC port once its period of exclusivity ends. Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be a PS4 exclusive for a year.
Details regarding a potential PC port were found in the code of a PS4 demo of Final Fantasy 7 Remake that some players were able to get their hands on despite it not being made available to the public yet.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC Port
Reddit user Frocharocha pointed out the datamining work done by Twitter user roXyPS3, which spotted tidbits of data that could point towards a PC port.
These include “various higher Resolutions together with some NVIDIA and AMD stuff”.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake making its way over to PC after the one-year period of PS4 exclusivity ends isn’t necessarily unexpected. Over the years, several titles from the series have made their way over to PC.
Publisher Square Enix has yet to comment on the findings. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is slated for a March 3 release on PS4.
Yeah already discussed this yesterday in Discord with others that there are many "many" signs inside the Demo that we will see a future PC Port sooner or later. There is PC Code still left inside, and it mentions various higher Resolutions together with some NVIDIA and AMD stuff.
