Hollow Knight is one of those indie games you just can't help but love, and the latest free content update, Godmaster, serves as a great underline, now that the point's already been not only made, but also iterated upon.
Though there's been no official changelog released for Godmaster so far, we can surmise that the content pack has a particular focus on the game's pantheon of bosses, and some users have already reported that there's a brand new mini boss to fight as well.
Billed as 'the final chapter of the Knight's story and the hugest content pack by far,' Godmaster offers a whole new gamemode, a new area, new enemies, and - most of all - new mysteries for the players to solve.
Though the majority of content is still shrouded in mystery, a little birdie has told us that the new area can be found by scouring the Junk Pit and using the Simple Key #4 to open a certain sacrophagus. Look for a breakable wall in the Colosseum of Fools, and you should be on the right path.
If all of this got you interested in Hollow Knight and you don't yet own the game on Steam, there's now a substantial 34% discount in place, which slashes the price to €9,89. Considering just how jam-packed with content this beautiful metroidvania is, it's as good an offer as any!
