Frontier Developments has sent over the first Gameplay Trailer for the console versions of Planet Zoo, which will be releasing for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on the 26th March.
The trailer does a good job of showcasing the way players can manage the zoo, as there are a lot of options to help you manage the needs of the different animals and the tools to build their ultimate habitats within the park.
The console editions will contain the same modes contained in the PC version, including, Career, Franchise, Challenge, and Sandbox.
When does Planet Zoo: Console Edition release?
Planet Zoo: Console Edition arrives on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on 26th March for £39.99/$49.99/€49.99.
Players who pre-order now will receive three exclusive animals: the Pygmy Hippopotamus, Komodo Dragon, and Thomson’s Gazelle.
Here’s an overview provided by Frontier:
For those looking to get creative, players can create the zoo of their dreams using a wide range of scenery inspired by zoos in regions across the globe, from the misty mountains of East Asia to the vibrance of African plains. Powerful tools provide countless ways to shape the terrain into stunning environments – dig lakes and rivers, raise hills and mountains, and carve paths and caves to create magnificent landscapes.
And of course, the animals take centre-stage, with over 70 detailed species arriving with the base-game at launch, each brought to life in authentic detail with unique animations and social behaviours. From tigers to tarantulas, the in-game Zoopedia provides a wealth of fascinating facts on every animal, helping players cater to their specific needs so they can truly thrive.
For players looking to expand their zoos with even more animals, scenery and gameplay scenarios, a Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order for a suggested retail price of £49.99/$59.99/€59.99, including 16 additional animals and two additional scenarios, which transport players to both the heart of the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and rich, vibrant wetlands.
The Ultimate Edition includes all Deluxe Content, plus a Season Pass granting access to an incredible selection of 14 future DLCs containing 81 new species, 15 campaign scenarios, and over 2000 additional scenery pieces for a suggested retail price of £99.99/$119.99/€119.99.
