Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s massive Behemoth Drone is a terrestrial tank that can dish out staggering amounts of damage, dealing with entire squads of players in one fell swoop. It’s a sort of an endgame encounter in Breakpoint, and if you want to take one down, you’ll have to know what to do.
The solution to the Behemoth fight is, in a single word: high explosives. You want to come kitted-out with grenades, grenade launchers, and some additional ordinance to destroy the Behemoth’s tough armour plating to reveal the weak-spot, in true video game fashion. Otherwise, you may as well come carrying a pea-shooter.
How to destroy the Behemoth in Ghost Recon Breakpoint?
You should first note that the Behemoth is one of the toughest encounters in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which should be quite telling on its own. Ideally, you’ll have a teammate or two backing you up when you find this beastly vehicle, but people have already taken them down solo, too. Having said that, some people have managed to solo the final boss fight of Destiny 2’s Last Wish raid: doesn’t mean it’s something anyone can do.
As we said before, explosives are a must when taking on the Behemoth, but something fast-firing with lots of bullets works great, too. We’re talking - of course - about light machine-guns with recoil-diminishing attachments, such as the Bipod. Though the vast majority of Breakpoint’s substantial list of weapons can compete in most of the game, Behemoth does call for a specific loadout. Come well-prepared.
When you finally do encounter the Behemoth, try to coordinate your teammates to focus-fire on specific portions of Behemoth’s armor. If you manage to explode pieces of it away, that will leave a neat weak-point for the rest of your squad to take advantage of. Be careful to spread far out, too, as the Behemoth’s artillery can one-shot you all if you’re not careful.
We bet the Behemoth makes an appearance in Breakpoint’s first raid, Golem Island. Have you already given that a shot?
