Ghost Recon Breakpoint has got a pretty significant leveling system, and skill points are its core feature. If you’ve already reached the level cap (30), you may be wondering if there’s a way for you to keep unlocking more stuff, or if you’ve already hit the max skill points ceiling.
Getting to level 30 doesn’t net you enough skill points to unlock everything there is to unlock, which means you may be interested in finding alternative ways of getting endgame-tier skills. Note that this guide presumes that you’ve already maxed out your character level and know the basics of skill progression.
Max Skill Points in Breakpoint
</hr>
It shouldn’t take long before you to start coming across unique lockboxes with a tiny blue icon. These are similar to the boxes in which you find new weaponry and attachments, which should help you locate them. As may have guessed by now, opening these lockboxes will grant you more skill points to spend on your skill tree. The catch is that they can only be found in heavily-fortified and heavily-defended areas that aren’t easy to get into, such as Wolves’ campgrounds.
These skill point boxes will still be way easier to loot than it is to complete the Golem Island raid, mind, and their related unlocks could definitely come in handy for that type of content. Taking down Behemoth Drones is tricky business, too, but a fully kitted-out character shouldn’t have a problem with that, even if you’re playing solo. Behemoth Drone Defense areas may also drop more of these skill point lockboxes, so that’s something to keep an eye out for.
Level Cap in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
</hr>
As we mentioned above, Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s level cap does, in fact, exist, and it is set at level 30. The system is quite similar to that of Wildlands, at its core, except there’s more to do with XP here, since you’ve got the Ghost Class to worry about, too.
Much as is the case with other live service games, Breakpoint starts properly only after you’ve already reached max level. Since you’ll have a wide selection of skills and items available to you by that time, and the enemies will remain consistently challenging, the game will turn into a proper sandbox.
On a related tangent, have you already claimed your Ghost Recon Rewards Program weapons? Here’s how to do so, if you haven’t.
