Gray Zone Warfare is a hardcore shooter that aims to simulate tactical warfare as realistically as possible, with some even saying that it could dethrone Escape from Tarkov. It’s coming to PC in early access, but will it be released on consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S?
So far there hasn’t been official confirmation of a console release for Gray Zone Warfare, although the developer has suggested it will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in the future.
When will Gray Zone Warfare be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S
Addressing questions from fans on the official Gray Zone Warfare Discord server, Creative Director Marek Rabas revealed plans for future releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, he acknowledged that before Madfinger Games starts developing these console ports, the priority is to ensure the PC version is “stable and polished.”
Console versions are on the roadmap, although it’s difficult to say if they’ll arrive at some point during this year. Gray Zone Warfare will be launched into early access on Steam on the 30th of April, so we may not see console versions appear until 2025.
Gray Zone Warfare Console Release Date: GameWatcher’s current estimation is 2025
Rabas did say that it would try to do “early access on consoles because we love consoles, I play them a lot”, but he didn’t comment on a specific time frame.
Madfinger Games didn’t have anything to add when we contacted them for comment, but it did say that it hopes everyone will enjoy the PC experience when it releases tomorrow in early access.
You can find Gray Zone Warfare on Steam.
