Open-world survival game Green Hell has unveiled its 2022 roadmap, promising more story content for its PC and console players alongside an updated building system and the addition of animal husbandry.
The first new item on Green Hell’s 2022 roadmap is the third and final part of its Spirits of Amazonia storyline.
Free to all owners of the base game, it brings the prequel story focusing on Jake’s attempts to befriend an Amazonian tribe and obtain a cure for Mia to its conclusion. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will receive the entirety of the prequel story throughout 2022.
Green Hell’s 2022 roadmap also includes an updated building system that gives players more freedom in terms of where they can place down structures.
It comes with the ability to cut down thicker trees, removing obstacles such as stumps and logs, which opens up more of the jungle for construction. In addition, a series of new items – including doors, bridges, treehouses, and more – will be introduced.
Animal husbandry will then let players catch, breed, and feed some of the creatures they encounter. Kept in custom pens, they can be harvested for resources necessary to survive the extreme conditions of the Amazonian jungle.
Both the building system update and animal husbandry are part of Green Hell’s 2022 roadmap on PC, with console counterparts set to arrive at a later date. More details will likely be shared throughout 2022.
Green Hell is available now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
