Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that it will be airing the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 at 9AM ET / 2PM GMT on December 5th. Let’s hope it doesn’t break the Internet.
The excitement for the initial details of GTA 6 was evident in the massive response to Rockstar’s social media announcement last Friday. The post has garnered over 1.9 million likes on X, previously known as Twitter, reflecting the growing anticipation among fans.

The trailer is available for viewing above. Following a low-quality leak, RockStar went ahead and published the full version in 2K. It’s an impressive trailer with plenty to dissect. One thing we immediately noticed right off the bat is that the hair physics are remarkably well-executed. Lots to look forward to, although we will be waiting until 2025. PC wasn’t listed, but PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development. PC normally comes later for the Grand Theft Auto series, so maybe we will see it a year after release.
Grand Theft Auto 5, launched on 17 September 2013, marks its 10th anniversary. With sales reaching a whopping 185 million copies across various platforms, it stands as the second highest-selling game, surpassed only by Minecraft.
Bloomberg reported back in early November that Rockstar Games was almost ready to reveal the first trailer, with the publication suggesting that early December would be the date. Reporter Jason Schreier was spot on, as shortly after the report Rockstar confirmed on Twitter that a trailer was coming soon.
