Halo Infinite’s recent multiplayer flight test is now underway and a part of the players who were lucky enough to receive invites are facing the Your Account Is Not Authorized to Play error.
Reports of Halo Infinite’s Your Account Is Not Authorized to Play error quickly spread across multiple forum boards, as players express their disappointment while looking for a fix to get them in the game.
The error actually affects accounts that have been invited to the multiplayer tech preview so, unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be a case of people being unaware of the limited access tied to the test itself.
What’s worse is that we don’t have a surefire fix for Halo Infinite’s Your Account Is Not Authorized to Play error. Some players have, however, discovered that restarting their PC or console got them past it, but this doesn’t seem to work for everyone who can’t play because of this issue.
In some cases it took a single restart, while others had to restart their device multiple times to play the flight test’s contents, which is far from ideal. This is made worse by the tech preview’s PvP sessions being relatively short, which could see some people unable to play, due to the error.
It’s unclear what causes Halo Infinite’s Your Account Is Not Authorized to Play error, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that developer 343 Industries won’t take long to provide a fix. If you’re still affected, it may be worth following and even posting on the Halo Insider forums.
