Hogwarts Legacy is poised to become one of the most highly sucessful releases of early 2023, offering players the exciting opportunity to design their own characters and delve into a meticulously crafted rendition of the wizarding world. If you’re eagerly anticipating the game’s release, you might be curious about whether crossplay will be an option.
Unfortunately, neither publisher Warner Bros. Games nor developer Avalanche Software has addressed the possibility of cross-platform support at this time, and there is a clear reason for its silence.
Hogwarts Legacy Crossplay
The title is built as an exclusively single-player experience and confirmed to not feature multiplayer or co-op.
Hogwarts Legacy crossplay would only make sense if you’d be able to team up with or compete against other players, so it’s safe to assume the feature won’t be available at launch.
- Hogwarts Legacy crossplay status: Not available at launch
Whether or not we can expect Hogwarts Legacy cross-platform support to be introduced after the game releases is unclear at this time.
Such a decision would have to be tied to a content update, free or paid, that enables some form of multiplayer gameplay.
Since there don’t seem to be any plans for one at this stage, it’s difficult to say whether or not it’s worth keeping our hopes up.
We’ll be on the lookout for any news regarding Hogwarts Legacy crossplay and will update this article as soon as we learn more about cross-play support potentially being added.
The game should, nevertheless, have quite a bit of content to go through even as a single-player experience.
While we wait, you’ll want to check out the action RPG’s updated system requirements alongside the characters and voice actors revealed so far.
