The First Descendant’s pre-season has begun on Steam, and while you may have been enjoying the solo experience, quite a few of you have been asking about multiplayer and how you can Invite Friends to your Party.
We recently had some trouble figuring out how to invite friends to our party while playing The First Descendant, but we quickly solved it and wanted to share the steps with anyone else who might be stuck.
How to Invite Friends to your party in The First Descendant
The First Descendant supports crossplay, allowing players on PC, PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S to play together seamlessly. Here’s how to do it: ensure crossplay is enabled, add your friends to your in-game friends list, and then invite them to your matches from the social menu.
To invite friends in The First Descendant, press the map button (‘M’ key on PC) to open the menu. Then, look for “Social” in the top right corner next to “Quest.” You will need to make sure everyone is located in Albion before you can invite them.
Let’s follow these precise steps:
- Enable Crossplay (it’s on by default, but ensure it isn’t turned off).
- Reach Albion after the tutorial.
- Open the Social Menu by pressing the map button (‘M’ key on PC).
- In the Social Menu, “Local Players” will display friends on your platform; click on their names to invite them to your party.
- Enjoy The First Descendant with up to three other players.
You should now be able to play with friends across all platforms, once you’ve added them to your friends list. If you have any trouble, you can always reach out to us and we will try to help.
