Looking to pick up a new strategy game this weekend? You’re in luck. The Humble Store is running a sale on a selection of strategy titles over the next four days. There are some decent discounts to be had and a nice selection of titles. Not sure what to pick up? Read on…
4x fans should check out Age of Wonders Planetfall. It’s a Sci-Fi take on Civilisation with X-Com style turn-based tactical combat. The base game is 75% off at $12.50, whilst the Premium Edition, with all three expansions, costs $22.49.
Hearts of Iron IV: Cadet Edition is also 75% off at $9.99. And if you are missing any of the five DLC currently available for the World War II strategy game, they are each 50% off.
Sticking with World War II, Steel Division Normandy 44 is an engaging tactical RTS developed by Eugen Systems—the team behind R.U.S.E and the Wargame series. The base game is 75% off at $9.99 however, the IndieGala Store is also running a sale on the game at a whopping 85% off ($5.99).
As for my personal pick, fans of board games and tactical card games should check out Armello. Anthropomorphic animals in a fairy-tale setting with gorgeous art direction and deep engaging gameplay. It’s $7.99 (60% off), and worth checking out.
Finally, for those looking for something from strategy gaming’s distant past or just something a little different, try out King of Dragon Pass ($2.99). Released in 1999, it’s a mix of interactive story, resource management and RPG: as you lead a Bronze Age clan through the fantasy realm of Glorantha.
The sale runs for another four days, so head over to the Humble Store and start strategy gaming!
