Hunt: Showdown’s clean weapons option lets you restore your guns’ former sheen when too much dirt has settled on them after taking too many tumbles while bounty hunting in its swamps.
As weapons are your best buddies when you run into Hunt: Showdown’s more challenging monsters or, indeed, other players, you might be inclined to keep them clean at all time.
But does keeping your Hunt: Showdown weapons clean have any effects on gameplay or is it a purely cosmetic choice? We’ve got answers.
Hunt: Showdown Clean Weapons
Although you might start with a batch of Hunt: Showdown clean weapons, getting downed will inevitably result in them gathering increasing amounts dirt. The same applies for picking up weapons from less fortunate players.
While dirt might obscure the gorgeous features of Hunt: Showdown’s excellent gun models, it doesn’t actually affect the weapons’ stats. Ask a roleplayer and they might even tell you that it helps you blend in with your environment.
You might notice the dirt when zooming in using some of the available weapons, however, it’s nothing that throws your aim off.
If you’re rocking one of Hunt: Showdown’s legendary weapons you might feel particularly inclined to clean them, since they look even better than their regular peers.
You can clean weapons in Hunt: Showdown from the main menu. You should spot the Clean button on the left side of the Equip button.
As doing so requires 2 Blood Bonds every time you choose to perform the action, some players see it as thoroughly unnecessary.
Whether you agree with them or not depends on how much aesthetics play a role in your bounty hunting process
Do note that dirty weapons are not the same thing as contraband weapons. While you can clean Hunt: Showdown’s dirty weapons and bring them back to their previously pristine condition, a contraband weapon’s scope will remain cracked, even after attempting to clean it.
