Publisher tinyBuild and developer Redemption Road Games have collaborated to create Kingmakers, a medieval-themed sandbox game that blends action and strategy.
It is slated for early access release on PC in 2024. Currently, there are no plans to develop console versions.
Kingmakers draws inspiration from titles such as Deep Rock Galactic, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Chivalry, and the Stronghold series.
Players step into the role of an elite task force operative unexpectedly transported back to a war-ravaged medieval England, fortunately equipped with a cache of modern weaponry.
The game’s purpose and goal is to shift the course of history and prevent a looming apocalypse in the future, presumably caused by events in this timeline.
Kingmakers Release Date and Latest News
Kingmakers is due to be released for the PC in Q4 2024, with a 2025 release set for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. In August 2024, developer Redemption Road said it was still due for release in 2024, although we still don’t have a confirmed release date. Unless it gets delayed, we should see it in November or December.
The trailer below highlights the thrilling, action-packed battles in Kingmakers. In the game, players have the opportunity to construct their kingdoms, accumulate a vast array of firearms, even attack helicopters, and then command their forces in large-scale, real-time simulated battles.
These battles can be undertaken alone or cooperatively with up to four players.
