Publisher Konami is looking to bring back acclaimed horror series Silent Hill from its almost-eight-year hiatus.
While that might make some Silent Hill fans weary, considering the publisher’s latest output, it has been reported that Konami has reached out to developers for pitches.
Konami Looking to Bring Back Silent Hill
News about Silent Hill’s potential return was first relayed by Twitter user AestheticGamer1 who wrote: “Konami about two years ago reached out to various developers to pitch ideas for two Silent Hill games, one a soft-reboot of the franchise, the other an episodic TellTale/Until Dawn-style game to go alongside the reboot.”.
Following the news spreading, a Konami representative told website PCGamesN the following: “We cannot share anything at this point, but we are listening to customer feedback and considering ways to provide the next title,”.
While that’s not a lot to go on, Silent Hill fans are likely holding their fingers crossed. hoping that an upcoming title – should it ever materialize – will mark a triumphant return for the series.
