La Quimera’s weighty futuristic first-person action drew much attention to developer Reburn’s (formerly 4A Games Ukraine) original IP, its departure from the Metro series prompting questions regarding whether or not the title is planned for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Its first trailer revealed several of the characters we’ll meet while stepping into the role of a down-on-their-luck PMC soldier, some of which we’ll fill with lead across both a sprawling megalopolis and lush jungles.
La Quimera PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Release
La Quimera’s announcement trailer confirmed it is coming to PC, via Steam, without mentioning any other platforms. It is, thus, unclear if a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S release is on the cards at the moment.

Their absence could come down to a number of different factors. There is a chance that developer Reburn wants to focus on the PC version and ensure it launches in as polished a state as possible before dedicating resources to other platforms.
It might also be postponing their reveal due to their current development progress. It is also possible that console versions for the first-person shooter are not part of its plans just yet and it wants to gauge interest first before committing to them.
All of the above are, of course, speculation on our part, given the lack of details on the matter.
This puts us in a position where all we can do is wait and see. More information about La Quimera is said to be shared over the coming months, so there is a chance that we’ll also learn about whether or not it is planned for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
