Here’s where we’ll explain everything that’s changing and being added with League of Legends patch 12.11.
LoL patch 12.11 is available now on live servers following its usual round of testing which lasted for two weeks. A look at its patch notes reveals its release date alongside the addition of new champion Bel’Veth, Ocean Song skins, and more.
Riot Games pushes out regular updates for its popular MOBA, which is why its patch schedule is necessary to keep track of when the next one’s due out. The LoL patch 12.11 release date was set for Wednesday, June 8, which is when the changes that make it through testing hit live servers.
League of Legends Patch 12.11
On the PBE, players could try out the following 7 new skins: Ocean Song Ashe, Ocean Song Nidalee, Ocean Song Seraphine, Ocean Song Seraphine Prestige Edition, Ocean Song Yone (1350 RP), Ocean Song Zeri, and Battle Boss Bel’Veth.
The LoL 12.11 maintenance schedule is always revealed closer to launch. Usually, it takes about 3 hours for patches to be deployed across different regions. Checking our League of Legends Server Status article is a good way to keep yourself informed on server downtime caused by patch deployment or other reasons.
Bel'Veth, the Empress of the Void
League 12.11 also introduces Bel’Veth, the Empress of the Void, as the MOBA’s newest champion. With the patch now on the PBE, we also have a look at her stats and abilities, as spotted by Surrender at 20.

Abilities
Death in Lavender (Passive):
- After using an ability, Bel'Veth’s next 2 attacks have increased attack speed. Additionally, whenever Bel'veth takes down a large monster or champion she gains permanent bonus Attack speed in the form of Lavender stacks. Bel'Veth attacks faster than normal and does not have an attack speed cap, however, her attacks and on-hit effects deal reduced damage and she does not gain attack speed on level up.
Void Surge (Q):
- Bel'Veth dashes in one of four directions, dealing damage to all enemies she passes through and applying on-hit effects. Each direction has its own unique cooldown that scales with attack speed.
Above and Below (W):
- Bel’Veth slams her tail down, dealing damage, knocking up, and slowing enemies hit. Upon hitting an enemy champion, this ability reduces Q - Void Surge’s dash cooldown in the direction of the champion hit.
Royal Maelstrom (E):
- Bel’Veth channels a storm of slashes around her, gaining damage reduction and increased life steal. Each slash strikes the lowest health enemy within her Maelstrom, dealing more damage the more health they are missing. The amount of slashes scales with her attack speed.
R - Endless Banquet:
- Passive: Every second attack against the same target deals additional True Damage, stacking infinitely. Takedowns against Epic Monsters and Champions leave behind a piece of Void Coral. Epic Monsters from the Void like Rift Herald and Baron Nashor drop special, voidier Void Coral.
- Active: Bel’veth consumes a piece of Void Coral and explodes, slowing and dealing True Damage to nearby enemies based on their missing health. Upon consuming Void Coral, Bel’Veth temporarily changes into her True Form. Consuming Void Coral left by Epic Monsters from the Void (Rift Herald and Baron Nashor) grants Bel'Veth her true form for an extended duration and causes minions that die in her presence to be reborn as faithful Voidlings. Voidlings are small minions that will serve Bel’Veth by marching down the lane in which they were spawned.
- True Form: When Bel’Veth unleashes her True Form, she gains increased max health, out-of-combat move speed, attack range, and total attack speed. While in her True Form, she also gains the ability to dash through walls with Q - Void Surge.
Alongside the balance changes meant to come in League of Legends’ patch 12.11, a hotfix for the previous patch is planned to go live sooner, promising nerfs for the likes of Taliyah and Anivia alongside buffs for Yuumi, Kled, and others.
The League 12.11 patch preview is now live, announcing another big set of changes for multiple items and champions, including Duskblade, Riftmaker, Xin Zhao, Aphelios, Rengar, and others.
Zeri is also in line to receive a number of buffs to damage and cooldowns at the cost of mobility and utility.

The Hitman and the Seer (Passive):
- Bonus attack speed increased to 7.5/15/22.5/30/37.5/45% from 6/12/18/24/30/36%
- Lethality increased to 5.5/11/16.5/22/27.5/33 from 4.5/9/13.5/18/22.5/27
Brand - Nerfed
Blaze (Passive):
- Passive burn damage decreased to 2.5% maximum health over 4 seconds from 3% maximum health over 4 seconds
- Ablaze DoT decreased to 9-13% (levels 1-17) maximum health from 10-14% (levels 1-17) maximum health
Caitlyn - Changed
Piltover Peacemaker (Q):
- Physical damage changed to 50/90/130/170/210 (+125/145/ 165/185/205% AD) from 50/90/130/170/210 (+130/145/160/175/190% AD)

90 Caliber Net (E):

LoL 12.11 Bugfixes & QoL Changes
- Fixed a bug where Qiyana’s Q - Edge of Ixtal would sometimes not deal damage to enemies moving toward her (*this bug should be resolved but due to the extremely low reproduction rate we cannot be 100% certain. We’ll be keeping a careful eye out for this bug going into patch 12.11)
- Fixed a bug where Sylas’ healing from Fiora’s stolen R - Grand Challenge would not properly scale with his AP
- Fixed a bug where Gnar would not receive the attack speed bonus from his E - Hop if his jump was interrupted by certain crowd control effects
- Fixed a bug where Viego would retain Janna’s Passive - Tailwind after his possession of her expired
- Fixed a bug where Viego’s E - Harrowed Path ability cooldown would be fully refreshed if he possessed another champion while an enemy champion was under the influence of possessed Swain’s E- Nevermove
- Fixed a bug where Nidalee’s E - Primal Surge would not grant bonus attack speed when cast on allies
- Fixed a bug where Graves’ runes would not swap off of Glacial Augment despite not being able to proc it (sorry Everfrost Graves mains)
- Fixed a bug where Akshan’s head would change directions if he walked away from an enemy while casting R - Comeuppance
- Fixed a bug where Kassadin’s W - Nether Blade would not display the on-hit VFX correctly
- Fixed a bug where Sivir’s Q - Boomerang Blade would sometimes not be audible to allies if the target was hit in Fog of War
- Fixed a bug where Sterak’s Gage would not accurately count the “Damage Blocked by Shields” tooltip counter
- Fixed a bug where outer Turret Health bars would not explode upon breaking
- Fixed a bug where Imperial Mandate’s debuff, Coordinated Fire, would not properly display its icon on the affected player’s debuff bar
- Fixed a visual bug surrounding Clash to accurately display why the player cannot join a Clash Team
- Fixed a visual bug where the last three players' report modals would be cropped in the End of Game screen
- Fixed a visual bug that occurred when hovering the Summoner Icon in the End of Game screen
- Fixed a bug where the Report Button in the scoreboard would get covered by longer names
- Fixed a bug where player's Summoner Icons were missing from the Challenges leaderboards
