LoL Patch 12.4 has now arrived on live servers, seeing new champion Renata Glasc, the Chem-Baroness enter the fray.
A look at its patch notes reveals its release date alongside the addition of a set of new Shockblade skins.
Riot Games pushes out updates for its popular MOBA at a steady rate, which is why its patch schedule is necessary to keep track of when the next one’s due out. The LoL Patch 12.4 release date is set for Wednesday, February 16, which is when the changes that make it through testing hit live servers.
League of Legends Patch 12.4
Players can now get five new skins in the shape of Admiral Glasc (1350 RP), Firelight Ekko (1350 RP), Shockblade Kassadin, Shockblade Shen, and Shockblade Qiyana.
The LoL 12.4 maintenance schedule is always revealed closer to launch. Usually, it takes about 3 hours for patches to be deployed across different regions. Renata Glasc, the Chem-Baroness
League 12.4 expands the MOBA’s already sizable roster with its newest champion, Renata Glasc, the Chem-Baroness. You can learn more about her below and check out her ability tooltips, as spotted by Surrender at 20.

Abilities
Leverage (Passive):
- Renata Glasc’s basic attacks mark her enemies and deal bonus damage. Damage from Renata’s allies consumes the mark, dealing additional damage.
Handshake (Q):
- Renata Glasc sends out a missile from her robotic arm that roots the first enemy hit. She can reactivate the ability to throw the enemy in a target direction, damaging enemies hit and stunning them if the thrown target is a champion.
Bailout (W):
- Renata Glasc grants an allied champion or herself ramping Attack Speed and Move Speed toward enemies. If the ally gets a takedown on an enemy champion, the buff duration resets. If the ally would die while Bailout is still active, their health is set back to full but they begin burning to death over 3 seconds. The ally can stop the burn by getting a champion takedown before they die.
Loyalty Program (E):
- Renata Glasc sends out chemtech rockets that shield allies and damage and slow enemies they pass through. The rockets also apply their effects around her on cast and in an explosion at max range.
Hostile Takeover (R):
- Renata Glasc sends out a cloud of chemicals that causes enemies to go Berserk, increasing their Attack Speed and forcing them to basic attack anything around them. Berserk enemies prioritize attacking their own allies, then neutral units, then Renata Glasc's team, then Renata Glasc herself.
The League of Legends patch 12.4 preview has now been shared, revealing that buffs for champs like Aatrox and Illaoi are on the way alongside nerfs for the likes of Zeri and Veigar.

- Sweetspot damage increased to 160% from 150%

- Physical damage reduction increased to 5/7/9/11/13 (+3% bonus armor) (+3% bonus magic resist) from 2/4/6/8/10 (+3% bonus armor) (+3% bonus magic resist)
Ashe - Changed
Enchanted Crystal Arrow (R):
- Missile speed changed to 1500 (+200 per second of travel time), up to 2100 from 1600
Blitzcrank - Nerfed
Stats:
- Base health regeneration decreased to 7.5 from 8.5
Dr. Mundo - Changed
Stats:
- AD growth decreased to 3.5 from 4.2
- AD decreased to 61-120.5 (levels 1-18) from 61-132.4 (levels 1-18)</ul>
Maximum Dosage (R):
- Cooldown changed to 110 at all ranks from 110/100/90
Illaoi - Buffed
Stats:
- Attack speed increased to 0.625 from 0.571
Harsh Lesson (W):
- Bonus physical damage increased to 3/3.5/4/4.5/5% (+4% per 100 AD) of target's maximum health from 3/3.5/4/4.5/5% (+2% per 100 AD) of target's maximum health
Kalista - Buffed

- On-hit damage increased to 25/40/55/70/85 (+20% AP) from 20/35/50/65/80 (+20% AP)
Neeko - Buffed
Stats:
- Hitbox radius decreased to 65 from 80
Blooming Burst (Q):
- Additional pop damage increased to 40/65/90/115/140 (+20% AP) from 40/60/80/100/120 (+20% AP)
Shapesplitter (W):
- Cooldown decreased to 16/15/14/13/12 seconds from 20/19/18/17/16 seconds
Nunu & Willump - Nerfed
Stats:
- Health growth decreased to 76 from 82

Royal Privilege (Passive):

Rumble - Buffed

Xayah - Buffed
Bladecaller (E):
- Critical strike chance damage multiplier increased to 0.75% more damage per 1% critical strike chance from 0.5%
Zeri - Changed
Uncharged Basic Attack:
- Magic damage decreased to 10-25 (levels 1-18) (+3% AP) from 15-40 (levels 1-18) (+4% AP)
- Damage increased to 500% against enemies below 35% health from 300%
Charged Basic Attack:
- Slow changed to 14/23/32/41/50% (based on Q rank) from 20/25/30/35/40%
- Slow duration decreased to 1 second from 1.5 seconds
Burst Fire (Q):
- Damage decreased to 9/13/17/21/25 (+110% AD) from 10/15/20/25/30 (+110% AD)
- Burst Fire's critical strikes now also multiply its base damage (in addition to its AD ratio)
- Excess Attack Speed to AD conversion increased to 60% from 50%
Ultrashock Laser (W):
- Cooldown changed to 13/12/11/10/9 seconds from 10 seconds
- Slow decreased to 30/40/50/60/70% from 50/55/60/65/70%</ul>
Spark Surge (E):
- Cooldown changed to 23/22/21/20/19 seconds from 23/21.5/20/18.5/17 seconds
- Cooldown reduction changed to 1 second per champion hit with charged basic attacks or abilities from 1.5 seconds
Lightning Crash (R):
- Bonus attack speed changed to 30% at all ranks from 30/35/40%
LoL 12.4 Items Balance Changes
Rejuvenation Beads
- Total cost increased to 300 gold from 150 gold
- Base health regeneration increased to 100% from 50%
- Sell-back ratio changed to 40% (sells for 120 gold) from 70% (sells for 105 gold)
Crystalline Bracer
- Total cost increased to 800 gold from 650 gold
- Base health regeneration increased to 200% from 150%
Knight's Vow
- Combine cost decreased to 400 gold from 750 gold
- Base health regeneration increased to 200% from 150%
Warmog's Armor
- Combine cost decreased to 500 gold from 650 gold
LoL 12.4 Systems Changes
Support Gold Income Items
Spellthief's Edge, Relic Shield, Steel Shoulderguards, & Spectral Sickle
- Gold value bounties (a.k.a. CS bounties) are now based on the number of support gold income items on each team, rather than assuming each team has one support gold income item
- Enemy gold leads are now significantly less likely to lead to Objective Bounties activating if there are two or more support gold income items on your team
- Minion Farming Penalty: Receive diminishing gold from excessive (4 minions per minute) ⇒ (2 minions per minute until 5 minutes; 4 minions per minute thereafter) minion kills. This diminished gold penalty is now also more severe during the first 5 minutes of the game. (All else unchanged)
Objective Bounties
- Bounty linger period decreased to 5 seconds after Objective Bounties fall off from 15 seconds

LoL 12.4 Bugfixes/QoL Changes
- Fixed a bug where champions would be able to cast some Summoner Spells while traveling through Hextech Gates (including Smite)
- Fixed a bug where Ahri's Passive - Essence Theft could obtain essence from champion clones
- Fixed a bug where Janna would incorrectly gain E - Eye of the Storm's passive heal and shield power boost upon slowing or knocking up enemy champions, even when she hadn't learned the skill yet
- Fixed a bug where Senna’s R - Dawning Shadow would change direction if you casted it while your cursor was hovering over Senna’s champion icon in your central HUD
- Fixed a bug where you would sometimes still receive some of Death's Dance's Ignore Pain's stored damage, even after triggering Defy with a champion takedown
- Fixed a bug where Yorick’s Maiden of the Mist would get stuck inside structures when walking near them. The Maiden will now be Ghosted and move through structures and units in true ghost-like fashion
- Kai'Sa’s ability tooltips and evolution trackers for her Passive - Second Skin's Living Weapon have been fixed and will correctly account for her bonus attack damage and attack speed
- Fixed a bug where, if Zed casted his W - Living Shadow and recasted it while his Q - Razor Shuriken was in flight, both shurikens would launch from Zed’s new position (as opposed to 1 shuriken from each location)
- Fixed a bug where Gangplank would receive a Tear of the Goddess stack upon casting E - Powder Keg
- Fixed a bug where, if Tahm Kench applied three Passive - An Acquired Taste stacks on an enemy champion, he would sometimes still be able to R - Devour them after his stacks expired if he used certain item actives
- Zoe's W - Spell Thief ability icon will now display the correct damage value for stolen Smites
- Fixed a visual bug where Aphelios’ casting bar would not animate properly when upon activating W - Phase
- Fixed a bug where players would receive an incorrect notification if they tried to change lobbies while in queue
- The SFX that plays when creating a game lobby has been restored
- PsyOps Pyke's W - Ghostwater Dive SFX that plays for enemies with low health (below his ultimate's execute threshold) has been adjusted for gameplay clarity
- PROJECT: Jinx's critical strike hit SFX have been restored
- The debuff VFX on enemies hit by Ahri's E - Charm have been fully restored
- Teleport and Unleashed Teleport's tooltips have been fixed and will display accurate cooldown timers
- The information displayed in the Dragon Soul buff's scoreboard tooltip has been corrected
- Watchful and Vigilant Wardstones' tooltips have been fixed to display the correct number of wards currently placed
- Smite’s tooltips in Champ Select and Collections have been restored
