Marvel Rivals, NetEase’s hero shooter based on the famous IP, has just launched across PC and current-gen consoles. We’ve been having a blast so far and exploring everything Season 0: Dooms’ Rise has to offer across its battle pass and launch roster of playable characters.
Seasons in Marvel Rivals will be quite traditional if you’re familiar with other heroes and military shooters. New characters, maps, and modes will arrive regularly at no extra cost alongside battle passes – both free and premium – that will offer new cosmetics (and not just skins). You’ll also be happy to learn that battle passes won’t expire when a season ends; they can be completed whenever and at your own pace. This might entice plenty of players to put some real money into the game, though its free currency model looks to be on the generous side too.
Marvel Rivals Season 0: Dooms’ Rise End Date
Marvel Rivals’ first season, which is more of a launch period with a shorter battle pass, launched on December 6 as soon as the game welcomed players. But when does it end?
- Marvel Rivals Season 0: Doom’s Rise ends on January 10, 2025, at 6:00 UTC.
NetEase outlined the entire season on launch day, December 6, 2024. The dev team has confirmed most seasons will last around 13 weeks, which is a little over three months. It remains to be seen what shape Season 1, which will be the first full-sized one, takes, but for now, we’ve received confirmation that Season 0 will only last one month.
You can watch the reveal trailer for Season 0: Doom’s Rise below:
The Season 0 battle pass is titled Chronovium and includes several costumes and other cosmetics that must be unlocked with Chrono Tokens, which are earned by completing challenges/tasks and by participating in certain events. While some items are available for everyone, most of the content in the pass is part of the Luxury Battle Pass, which is cheaper due to the shorter length of this season.
Right now, there’s an Entangled Moments event happening. It contains five sets of Missions and will run through January 2. Make sure to check out all the details and maximize your Chrono Tokens (and other currencies) earnings as you get a taste of the entire superhero and supervillain selection.
